Preparation Instructions:
A friend of mine from Philadelphia Pennsylvania just submitted this wonderful mock Act II kettle corn recipe for publishing. To get started, first you will want to take out a medium to large size cooking pot and a tight fitting pot lid. Moving along, next pour in the vegetable oil, and then heat it over a medium high heat setting. Once the oil is scorching hot, pour into the pot the half cup of popcorn kernels, stirring them around in the bottom of the pot so that they are nicely coated in hot oil. Once you begin to hear a sizzling sound coming from the unpopped kernels and hot oil, you will then want to evenly sprinkle the white superfine sugar and dark brown sugar over the mixture. Once you have completed that last step, place a lid over the pot, and then shake the pot until the popcorn popping slows down to roughly one pop every two seconds. At this point you will want to remove the lid from the pot, and then sprinkle in the table salt. That concludes this sweet and delicious mock kettle corn recipe.
