Tammy from San Diego California emailed me this awesome Alton Brown kettle corn recipe. For step one, pour the white corn kernels, white pure cane sugar, Meijer vegetable oil, ground chipotle powder, and kosher salt into a large pot. Make sure that this pot has a very tight fitting lid. With the lid in place, heat the pot over medium heat. Be sure and stir around the ingredients a couple of times. Once your popcorn begins to pop, continually shake the pot until the popping slows to about one pop every one to two seconds. At this point your kettle corn should be finished, so pour it into a large serving bowl. I should mention as a side note, that make sure you use a pot that has a nice nonstick lining, as an overly rough or worn pot lining will cause this recipe to burn. The device I used is called a brew kettle, and it has a nice clean and new inner lining, with almost no wear and tear. That concludes this Alton Brown kettle corn recipe, we hope that you enjoyed it.
